2 Timothy 3:10-4:5
We forget the nature of the Gospel which is the cause of erosion.
Hearing the word, rests on the foundation of the belief in the inspired word. What scripture claims it to be. Scripture is how God talks to us, and the expectations of it's preaching is important.
Clear, Godliness, purity, enduring suffering.
The voice and hand of Jesus is present in the faithful reading and preaching of scripture.
Psalm 19:7-14
Our conviction of the infallibility comes from the Holy Spirit, by faith.
3000 times "Thus sayeth the Lord" in some form.
Liar, lunacy or Lord.
Picking and choosing what to believe in the bible makes you the word of God, makes you, the one who you rely on.
Provides truth, correction, direction
Not just the NT Paul, speaks of the OT, all he had.
False teachers will come and are here.
Knowing we would turn away and get distracted, or get something wrong, he gave us his word regardless.
We can endure all things as God's word is with us at all times through Scripture.
Preach the word and the water of life flows into all the church and the people.
