Discerning idols -
Agora - marketplace, public forum, center of all.

Threatening idols exposes weakness and creates anger and violence from worshipers
3 kinds of idols -
Personal
Religious
Cultural

pseudo savior to keep control yourself
Money - Artemis, wall street, banks, etc.
Romance - Aphrodite, No boundaries etc.
Children - Stage moms, home schooling moms, etc.
R -
self righteous devotees
Truth - dogmatic, closed, self righteous, disrespectful to opponents, disdainful (most evangelicals)
Gifts - mistaking gifts for fruit, putting emphasis on success of gifts, justification in ministry
Morality - legalism, etc. For justification, self righteousness.
C -
Reason - goal and source of all success and progress of science to fix all,
Traditional - Family everything for family and honor
Individualistic - political correctness, no one is wrong in anything they want to believe,

Destroying idols -
Risk,
